Josie’s/The Cantina
Josie’s started back in 1983 in a little portable building over near Froggies. The food was prepared to go only. The family owned business worked out of that location for 1 year. Cookie and Josie Covarrubias and their five daughters: Marie, Eloisa, Sylvia, Christina, and Kimberly all worked together to continue building their business. After that first year they moved locations to 610 Adams HW 185 in POC. One year later the family added a room to increase capacity and two years later added a second room. Now Josie’s can comfortably accommodate 100 guests with a maximum capacity of 125.
Josie’s specializes in cooking your catch. Fillet your catch and Josie’s staff will cook them to your liking. This is something that we all do and we all highly recommend it.
Josie’s burgers are tasty and their staff cuts and peels potatoes fresh each day for their fries. Everything is homemade right in the kitchen.
Breakfast in POC is a cinch, order off of the menu, eat the buffet, or get the breakfast tacos that are made fresh from scratch each morning.
Josie’s caters year around:
Shrimp boil, to steaknight, to Mexican food
Breakfast tacos, juices, coffee
Fishing lunches to go
Weekdays and weekends!!
Josie’s has also catered the Houston Big Game Fishing Club brunch on Thursday during POCO BUENO and handled catering for CCA Banquets for 325 people for the last two years.

THE CANTINA
The Cantina is located in the same building as Josie’s. The Cantina started 5 years ago in May of 2003. Very unique, theme parties set The Cantina apart from any watering hole on the coast. A friendly staff, artwork covered walls by artist Dale Bunting, cold beer, and loud music always make for an exciting time!
